Opportunity
A leading global IT services company is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Channel Development Manager to develop the Spanish- speaking markets of Central America and the Caribbean. The territories assigned to the position are Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador. Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
Position
You will be responsible for generating revenue by developing market potential through prospecting, qualifying opportunities, proposing solutions, and closing sales. This position is offered initially on a two-year contract and is home-based but will require extensive travel in the assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops the market in the specified territories for the company’s products and services which include Servers, Storage, Desktops, Laptops, Thin Clients and Cloud Services.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships, with Channel Partners to win business in the region.
- Initiates selling process by prospecting, qualifying and understanding client business needs to win Major Solutions and System Integration bids.
- Owns all the activities and interactions which affect the client relationship. Ensures customer service expectations are met and/or exceeded.
Key Accountability and Performance Measures
- Achieves assigned sales targets from managing assigned territories.
- Meets assigned expectations for profitability and key performance indicators.
- Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management, maintained by way of up to date account plans and major pursuit plans.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience and track record at delivering new business wins in the IT industry
- Ability to look at the market and identify ways to increase growth
- A self-starter
- Ability to work both alone and in diverse multi-cultural teams
- A Bachelor’s degree preferable in Computer Science or Engineering related discipline.
- A minimum of five years sales, business development or channel management experience in the IT industry
- Bi-Lingual, fluent in both English and Spanish
