GENERAL SUMMARY:
Laureate GPS IT Delivery has transformed itself moving from a project oriented culture to a product oriented culture. To manifest this change, Laureate GPS IT has become an agile organization based on the SAFe methodology. IT Delivery is now composed of Scrum Teams that are fully independent and self-reliant. In agile, the team manages its workload and delivers on a periodic cadence of sprints. Each member of a team plays a critical role in completely supporting products. As a part of the scrum team, one of the key roles is that of Scrum Team Product Owner.

Reporting to the Team Manager, the Product Owner is the main stakeholder on an agile software development team. The Product Owner is one of the four roles (Scrum Master, Team Member and Stakeholder) of the scrum framework for agile. The Product Owner is someone with a clear vision of the product, defining the vision in form of well-defined user stories, prioritizing user stories together with team and estimating them with clear-time line of the product. The Scrum Team Product Owner must convey the vision of what needs to be built to the scrum team. The Product Owner manages the scrum team product backlog, which represents the prioritized features list for the product. This leader works closely with Product Management in order to understand the priority of the features within the scrum team backlog. Product owner will be focusing on supporting Laureate Live, OneCampus, OneFolio, OneFaculty, Laureate Languages and Advantage Courseware.
