GENERAL SUMMARY
The Instructional Technologist position is responsible for supporting the implementation of products related to Laureate Education online classrooms. The ideal candidate will be a designer with an understanding of the online education industry, UI/UX design best practices, and LMS design. This position will work to ensure that EPTI-developed online products remain at the leading edge of our industry. Specific responsibilities include participating in collaborative, multi-functional teams for process and product design for the EPTI-developed online classroom and related products. Must be able to work closely with content creators, technical personnel, and software developers. The Instructional Technologist reports to the Instructional Technologist Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participates in brainstorming sessions to create products that best enhance client objectives.
• Collaborates with all stakeholders to determine product needs, product definition, and design/build parameters.
• Supports stakeholders to implement basic design methodologies and details, in the creation of products that serve the needs of learners, institutions, and EPTI teams.
• Provides technical expertise regarding product design and build.
• Provides expert knowledge in Blackboard and other LMS platforms, as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of current and future learning technology trends.
• Supports the effective use of product and process innovation to design, develop, and deploy products, processes, materials, and tools.
