JOB DESCRIPTION:
The HSSE Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of SSQE programs in keeping workers safe, ensuring healthy working environments, and evaluating work sites and work site data. Recognizes, advises, consults and reports to management and employees concerning any environmental, health, and safety or security situations or conditions. Prepares compliance and technical reports to meet environmental, health and safety and security regulatory requirements. Acts as primary site interface with regulatory agencies. Prepares and submits permit applications. Performs program reviews, investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of incidents. Evaluates workplace hazards. Provides input to new business opportunities and projects to ensure compliance. Conducts education and training to support regulatory and business requirements. Evaluates impact of new regulations on company operations. Reviews vendor, contractor and supplier activities for environmental, health and safety and security compliance for site processes and program goals. Assist in the corporate audit program by providing oversight and follow up support

Required Experience:

A minimum 5 years professional/managerial experience in safety, health and environmental management. Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives.
Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope
All Crowley positions require proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Some positions may also include proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications


Required Education:
BS degree in environmental sciences, safety, and industrial hygiene, quality or related scientific or management discipline.
Certification in recognized HSSE specialties or professional licensure a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires some outside office work conducting field inspections and investigations. The work can often be strenuous; requiring sustained physical effort in activities such as climbing, stooping, and walking. In seeking to eliminate occupational diseases and workplace hazards, there is risk of exposure to disease and potentially hazardous situations. Work involves occasional exposure to chemicals, environmental stressors, extreme temperatures and noises. Ability to work long hours and travel as required. Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to environmental, health and safety
