Required Education: BS degree in environmental sciences, safety, and industrial hygiene, quality or related scientific or management discipline. Certification in recognized HSSE specialties or professional licensure a plus

Experience A minimum 5 years professional/managerial experience in safety, health and environmental management. Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope

BUSINESS UNIT HSSE REQUIREMENTS ALSO INCLUDE:

Know and implement Safety, Security, Quality and Environmental Stewardship policy
Develop BU applicable SSQE operational manuals, procedures and/or practices
Respond to customer or BU specific HSSE requirements and RFP Lead for requests, including development of separate programs
Collect and report SSQE data required to monitor performance
Organize safety forums, establish safety committees
Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate and regulatory SSQE rules and regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements
Help ensure compliance with the Management System requirements, such as document control, CAR follow through, etc
Monitor and recommend resources to ensure personnel are trained and competent to perform the tasks assigned as related to HSSE
Assist with monitoring established systems to comply with Corporate requirements with respect to internal audits and assessments
Review SSQE performance with supervisors and employees
Help drive Management review of Management System
Work closely with the Operations Integrity Team to encourage and facilitate excellence in SSQE performance in all aspects of our business
Deliver effective HSSE training to meet site or project specific training objectives. Strong presentation and platform skills a plus
Monitor training compliance thru established reporting systems
