Role Summary:

As our Proposal/Technical Content Writer, you will organize and execute bid management and sales enablement strategies to support sales growth primarily through writing effective and persuasive proposals. Within this high-profile position, you will work across all levels of management from the executive level down, both domestically and internationally, to ensure flawless solicited and unsolicited bid management execution. You will be responsible for the corporate proposal library and will ensure its accuracy and completeness in support of ongoing proposal efforts.

You must possess the following qualities:

• Relies on a high level of experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
• Adept at project management and cross-functional collaboration. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, detail oriented with attention to schedules and timelines and maintenance of records and materials.
• Ability to edit and tactfully get expanded information from subject matter experts
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of RFP automation/repository software such as Loopio, a plus.
• Presentation Skills, Written Communication, Technical Documentation, Problem Solving, Deadline-Oriented, Process Improvement, Coordination, Strategic Planning, Market Knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment.
The Proposal/Technical Content Writer will communicate with leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create prospect/client-facing proposals, RFPs, and other content. Must follow the company editorial style guide. Excellent writing, spelling accuracy, and understanding of grammar are essential to the role, ensuring all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, tone of voice, and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for proposal (RFPs); facilitating, attending and note- taking of strategy meetings.
• Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
• Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections; identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
• Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
• Prepares presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding; coordinating printing.
• Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.
• Obtains approvals by reviewing proposal with key providers and project managers.
• Improves proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate; implementing changes.
• Manage the sales enablement content repository and ensure that all information is easily and readily accessible at the point of need.
• Gather feedback from sales team on a regular basis to constantly improve RFP/proposal support program.
• When there are no proposals, you will be responsible for assisting the creative content writer with writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (case studies, solutions overviews, industry overviews, product guides, white papers, ebooks, company bios, sales presentations, video scripts, website copy, campaign landing pages, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, etc.).
