SUMMARY: Responsible of warehouse, storage and local distribution services in Guatemala. Responsible of receiving services requests from our warehouse customers, coordinate the execution of the service and assure services high quality standards. Responsible of receiving, dispatch, inventory control and monitoring, cargo segregation, cargo palletization and digitalization of all orders into Crowley’s applications.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs cargo receiving and dispatch, cargo segregation and palletization, inventory control, digitalization of all documents related to cargo into our applications. Performs cargo labeling, packing, repacking, scanning, counting, storing and inventorying. Makes cargo data input into Crowley’s systems and applications available. Performs audits and supervision of services being executed by outsourcing or temp personnel. Creates cargo order deliveries, pick-ups and billing of the same. Maintains order and cleanness in the warehouse. Follows and makes sure all employees and visitors to the warehouse follows security and safety protocols while in the warehouse. Coordinates and implements with warehouse supervisor all security and safety protocols needed for a safe warehouse operation.
EDUCATION: Desirable bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, transportation or a related field; or a combination of post high school education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and distribution services or related field, experience in trucking or maritime industry, preferably skilled in transportation, inventory control and management, and distribution logistics.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Microsoft Office and any programing knowledge and experience. Proficient in transportation management systems preferred. Forklift driving experience and knowledge is a must. Certification in forklift operation is a plus.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and recommend alternatives. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team.
OTHER: Basic English level. Schedule Flexibility.
