Human Resources Assistant (Support)
Location: Tegucigalpa, Honduras
Organization: U.S. Mission in Tegucigalpa

Position Summary:
Manages or assists with a variety of human resources functions at post including Locally Employed (LE) Staff services and American personnel services. Duties include preparing personnel actions, performance management, training coordination, recruitment support, benefits administration, and awards program coordination.

Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources or administrative field is required.

Education:
Completion of two years of general college studies is required.

Language Skills:
English: Good Working Knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) - may be tested
Spanish: Good Working Knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) - may be tested

Jon Knowledge: Good knowledge of human resources functions, local labor and social security laws, and prevailing practices as they apply to compensation, retirement, medical benefits, and other phases of personnel management is required.


Skills & Abilities:
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•Excellent customer service and communication skills for in-person and telephone contacts.
•Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
•Strong interpersonal and keyboarding skills required.
