Job Opening: Accounting Analyst – Logistics Sector

A US Visa is required for a 3-month training.

Position Objective: Ensure accurate accounting records, reconciliation, and control of operations related to ocean freight, inland transportation, payroll, and tax obligations, while providing operational and strategic support to the accounting team for effective financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
Record and reconcile BLs and related payments in the accounting system.
Review account statements on shipping company platforms.
Dispute and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Monthly reconciliation between the logistics system and the accounting system.
Coordinate and monitor shipments until final delivery.
Record weekly payrolls in the accounting system.
Support in tax accounting processes and labor law compliance.
Review AP subledger and prepare weekly payment proposals.
Monthly review of financial statements and accounting reclassifications.
Participate in accounting projects and resolve issues related to U.S. and Central American operations.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: At least 1 year in operational accounting, preferably in logistics, shipping, or international trade.

Technical Knowledge:
Experience with shipping platforms and reconciliation (BNI vs accounting system) is a plus.
Knowledge of taxes and regulations.
Advanced Excel and payroll software.
