SUMMARY: Responsible for receiving request for inland move, verifying information needed to execute the following services, movement of equipment, type of routes, and additional services, bill to party, documents requirements.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support to internal and external customers on inland service to anticipate any problem in documents or in transit. Validate profitability of each movement, making sure it accomplishes defined margins. Maintain communication with customers to review projections and promote our services. Ensure with operation department has the resources to provide the services specified by the customer or reschedule if necessary and provide data of the carrier to the customer. Coordinate additional services requested by the customer with our internal and external vendors in timely manner. Ensure costs are registered in the order as well customer billable charges. Prepare and submit report (KPI) to internal customers according to requirements.

Qualifications - External
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years of experience in the commercial trucking or maritime industry.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel. Proficient in industry related transportation management systems.

COMPENTENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to indirectly mentor, coach, train and supervise employees. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to identify and document existing and new trend, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.

FLSA Status: The position is Non-Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
